WHEN FABRICATING THE BRICKWOOD BOX – USE 1” EPS FOAM. NOT 1.5” * The instructions call for 1.5” EPS. But I’d like to change this to 1" EPS foam.
This will give you a oven hearth thickness of 2.5” under 1” of insulation (Perlite / Vermiculite).

Seriously? Is that the recommendation?
I followed the instructions and went to 2" because I did not find 1.5. Is 1" the new recommended thickness or just your opinion.

I am concerned about that 2" foam.
