Just a quick question - Why is it that we are to place the blanket 1" behind the front of the oven? It seems as though this would create a 1" gap complicating placement of veneer.
Normally I am a devout instruction follower but need clarification as to how the gap figures in to the veneer attachment.

I had to puzzle that one out too. It’s one inch behind the front because you are going to place two layers of stucco adding up to about 1 inch over the front edge of the insulation. You will be bringing stucco up to the edge of the front, in other words. This allows you to seal the insulation completely into the stucco shell.
