It has been super cold and in the negative temps and i plan on cooking pizzas tomorrow night. I decided to slowly heat my oven today so I wouldn’t have to take as long tomorrow. My daughter requested Shakshuka for dinner so I figured why not try something new!! Then I made croutons with some stale sourdough in the retained heat.
That photo looks good enough to eat! You’ve got me looking for Shakshuka recipes now.

We did this last summer while we had lots of fresh garden tomatoes, it’s an excellent wood fire cook! Had pitas with za’atar seasoning with it, but for some reason I don’t seem to have a pic of the skillet.
I just found a recipe for sourdough naan that I did in cast iron in the house. The next time, I whip up a little Shakshuka, I am also going to throw down a little naan!!
