Ceramic Fiber Blanket Thickness

Hi

The instructions call for 1 box of ceramic fiber blanket, 50sf. How thick should it be? I see that I can buy blankets that are 1 inch or two inches thick. Will 50 sq ft be enough to wrap the oven twice?

The fiber blanket sold by BWO is 1 inch as I recall. It is sold by the pound, and 1 box covered the oven in two layers. I opted for the second box, which covered the oven in two more layers for a total of 4 layers.

Directly to your question, I believe 50 sq ft would wrap it in two layers.
