Christmas success

Christmas eve during the day, heated up the oven, baked sourdough bread (it is a work in progress). First loaves not quite brown enough, 2nd loaves failed to rise, last loaf used my lé Creuset (best loaf). Then an apple pie. Christmas day heated the oven back up, did a turkey and ham, turned out great! (Forgot to take pictures of the finished product :/)

Le Creuset has a place of honor at our home! I’ve had some of my best bread bakes in either that blue-enameled beauty or in our cast iron Dutch oven. I definitely see what you mean about the last loaf, and in general it sounds like your oven helped make your Christmas observance delicious.
