In the instructions for the hearth slab it states after concrete is poured tap around the form with a rubber mallet to remove air bubbles. I unfortunately didn’t tap enough and still have some in my slab. This brings me to a video I just discovered that recommended using a reciprocating saw without the blade in it to vibrate the for. I hope this will help someone with their build.
What a great idea! Thanks for posting it
Love that idea! Would you be able to share a link for the video so we can post it here? I easily get the idea but folks starting out with their first poured slab might appreciate seeing it. Thanks!
